When storing knives long-term, it's essential to avoid leather sheaths, as the dyes in the leather can stain the steel.
I recommend applying oil occasionally for Damascus and carbon blades to maintain their quality. If the knife is purely for display, a light coating every few months should suffice, while for regular use, I suggest applying oil once a week.
Furthermore, please refrain from washing the knife in the dishwasher to prevent damage to the handle, as the warranty does not cover this type of damage. Hand washing is the best approach for maintaining the knife's condition.
